The NGO "Power of the Future" was registered in May 2015 in Dnipro by internally displaced persons from Luhansk and Donetsk to protect and promote the rights of IDPs and their active integration into the community of Dnipro region.
2014
How did it all start?
Prior to our official registration, we started as an initiative group of caring and proactive people who wanted to develop the community, initiated various activities and involved everyone in co-creation. One of the first initiatives was tree planting in Dnipro. In October 2014, new trees appeared on the territory of school No. 143, and in April 2015 — in Liberty Park.
2014
In November 2014, our activists held a rally in Dnipro against the illegal elections in Donbas. In January 2015–2016, we initiated the 'Ribbon of Unity' campaign under the slogan: 'Let's tie a ribbon of unity from Donbas to Galicia'.
2015–2016
In May 2015–2016, we initiated an all-Ukrainian flash mob called Vyshyvanka Day in Dnipro and organized a festive concert on the city's central square.
Between 2015 and 2017, our team managed to implement more than 10 projects aimed at helping and supporting IDPs: protecting their rights, activating social life, and conducting sociocultural activities.
During these two years, we gained tremendous experience, as we got to try our hand at various fields and areas of work.
During this period, we:

2018
Moving into the field of peace education
In 2018, our organization launched the "Creators of Concord" educational project, which focuses on creating a peaceful environment in educational institutions. We set out to promote peaceful education and train as many teachers, social workers, psychologists and students as possible to resolve conflicts in a non-violent way through dialogue and creative methods of conflict transformation.
2018
As part of the "Creators of Concord" project, we have developed a unique method for creating peaceful environments and communities by combining creative and psychological approaches. The method was tested during a regional-level scientific and pedagogical project in the Dnipro region in cooperation with scientists from the Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education. As a result, we published an educational and practical manual, "Creative Methods of Conflict Transformation. Wings that carry peace".
2020
Adapting to work during the COVID-19 pandemic
In 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic was spreading around the world, we did not stop our activities, but rather adapted our work to the online format. After all, during the quarantine, the relevance of conflict resolution has not disappeared, and the problem of maintaining the physical and mental health of both students and teachers has become urgent. We managed to find opportunities and techniques to support the community of educators through ZOOM meetings.
2022
Activities during a warfare
After 24 February 2022, when the full-scale invasion of Ukraine took place, we transformed the "Creators of Concord" project, as the war had a profound impact not only on the educational process. We saw that we could use our four years of experience and all our psychological and pedagogical knowledge to help not only educators, but also IDPs and volunteers, overcome the crisis during the war.
2022
In May 2022, our team initiated a separate project to support IDPs who came to Dnipro as a result of the war — "Contact2U". As part of the project, we provide psychological assistance to IDPs, information assistance to IDPs in the Dnipro region, and sociocultural support.
