"Center for Active Citizenship"

The project was implemented with the support of USAID: grant KYV101

The goal of the project was to help people become active citizens and creators of their own destiny.

During the project, we conducted many different trainings and events aimed at achieving the set goal. The participants underwent legal and psychological training and became more confident in their abilities, and learned to overcome their fears.
The project also greatly contributed to the development and strengthening of the organization's capacity. We held a strategic session that helped structure the organization's work and give it new meaning. In addition, we decided on the mission of the organization and clearly defined the goals. Our work has become more structured and systematic.

"Rapid Response to IDP Issues"

The project was implemented with funding from UNHCR.

The aim of the project was to open a public reception center, which would become a space for the development of the city's community activity, stimulation and development of entrepreneurship, self-employment, job creation, and payment of taxes to the local budget.

As part of this project, we asked the Dnipro Regional Administration to give us the space we needed. Following the decision of the regional board session, we received the office, after which we renovated it and placed the Pro-active Hub public reception at Starokozatska Street, 52, Dnipro.

"Implementation of projects in the sociocultural sphere as a means of community activation"

The goal of the project was to activate community life and motivate citizens to improve their communities.

The project covered communities in three cities — Dnipro, Novomoskovsk and Uzhhorod. In each of the cities, our activists:
● Conducted a training course on "Successful Implementation of Projects in the Social and Cultural Sphere", where they taught effective ways of interaction and cooperation for the benefit of the city's community.
● Facilitated the integration of IDPs into the local community.
● Promoted the Vyshyvanka Day holiday as a national holiday that brings all Ukrainians together and significantly enhances their positive image. This holiday is a good example of a positive integration event that not only promotes patriotism among its participants, but also helps people realize their active role in community life. Preparations for the holiday are based on the principle of co-creation — when all people are active participants in the holiday and contribute in every way possible with their own initiatives.

As a result of the project, the communities of Dnipro, Novomoskovsk and Uzhhorod became more active: new initiatives aimed at improving community life were created, and new public associations were formed in cities where they were not present. Citizen engagement has increased significantly, as has openness to democratic change in society.

"Creators of Concord" is a training project on conflict resolution through creative methods

The project is implemented jointly with the NGO "Ethnodrive Movement" with the support of the Civil Peace Service, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (GIZ).

The project is directly aimed at supporting civil society activists who work with young people: teachers, psychologists, social workers, and public figures. It also aims to train them in relevant methods of mediation and dialogue and support their projects related to peace and uniting citizens.
Project goal:
● To develop a variety of approaches to peace education at school and beyond that help overcome polarization in society and develop a culture of dialogue.
● Provide the necessary tools and knowledge to educators, social workers and psychologists to understand, use and promote methods of peace education, dialogue and non-violent conflict resolution at school and beyond.
● To introduce new dialogue processes that help adults learn to cope with diversity in society, overcome polarization, and solve problems at the local level through non-violent conflict resolution.

The results of the project each year are:● Training of new specialists in peace education methods in three areas (playback theater, drum circle and art techniques).● Creating new projects and improving the quality of the target audience's peace building activities.● Growing a community of peace builders among psychologists, teachers, social workers, and public activists working with young people.
Every autumn, we hold a forum for the "Creators of Concord" project, where all students have the opportunity to present their own projects and draw conclusions about the year's work. After each forum, we develop and publish a handbook with the best projects, experiences, and practices of non-violent communication in educational institutions and beyond.
